After starting Lotus Connections, the following page is displayed when attempting to log in to Blogs.
Follow online instructions to enable the Blogs homepage and finalize the installation. Alternatively, follow instructions available on the Lotus Connections information center at:
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/ltscnnct/v2r0/topic/com.ibm.connections.25.help/t_config_blogs.html
As part of this task, you must configure an administrative user for Blogs. To enable a user with this administrative access follow these steps:
1. Open the deployment manager administrative console.
2. Click A
pplications > Enterprise Applications.
3. A list of installed applications is displayed, Select
Blogs.
4. From the following window, select
Security role to user/group mapping as shown.
5. Here you will see which users are mapped to which roles for this application. By default the LCadmin user (as specified during installation) is mapped to search-admin and widget-admin. Select the check box for the
admin role and then click
Look up users.
6. You can assign a user to the admin role on the next window. Use the Search String field to locate the user you want to assign as the admin user. When found with the search tool, this user is displayed in the Available area. To select this user, highlight the user and then click the double-right arrows to select this user for this role.
7. Click
OK.
8. You are returned to the "Security role to user/group mapping" window and the assigned user is shown as mapped to the admin user role.
9. Select
OK to save these changes.
10. Select
System Administration > Nodes, select all the nodes, and then click
Full resynchronize.
This change does not require a restart of the servers. To continue, follow online instructions or consult the information center instructions to complete the Blogs setup.
