S2: Enabling the Activities publish feature

No abstract provided.
You can enable the Activities publish feature, which allows you to publish documents directly from Activities to a Lotus® Quickr place without installing any additional software. There are a small number of simple changes required to achieve this on the configuration. These are as follows:

  1. Add the Quickr server to the list of supported Quickr servers on the deployment manager console. To do so, follow instructions in the information center to define a Quickr server whitelist:

    http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/ltscnnct/v2r0/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.connections.25.help/t_admin_act_define_quickr_servers.html

After you complete this topic, you must add a new property to the QuickrWhitelistProvider on the deployment manager console. You must add a new entry for each of the Quick servers that you want to access from Activities. In this case, only one Quickr server is added with properties similar to the following:

    Name: allowQuickrServer1
    Value: qkr_webserver.example.com

  2. Add the Quickr server details to the oa-config.xml file to enable the publish button in Activities. To do so, follow instructions in the information center at:

    http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/ltscnnct/v2r0/topic/com.ibm.connections.25.help/t_admin_act_publish_to_quickr.html

To enable the publish feature on Lotus Connections, open the oa-config.xml from the following location:

    C:\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\Dmgr01\config\cells\dmgrCell01\LotusConnections-config

Towards the end of this file, make the following changes:

Set the publish enabled flag to true, allowCustomerServer to false, and requireSSO to true. Then add the Quickr server HTTP Server property as shown above.

When the relevant changes are made, save the oa-config.xml file and resynchronize the nodes in the cluster. Next, restart the Activities server. After the server is restarted, the Publish button becomes available within Activities for all attachments.

  3. Go to the next topic:
