Re: Using IBM Connections more as a platform than an application - Part One

Hi, very interesting article. When I try to access at Part Two of this article, I login and I find an empty form in edit mode as I had to insert content in it.... very strange ...

I've already customized Connections login page GUI, but I need to add a new functionality in order to let user change his password at his first login, please can you mail the LDAP code and give me some more detail about how to implement it? Thanks a lot (elisa_salatino@it.ibm.com)

Re: Using IBM Connections more as a platform than an application - Part One

The REST API call examples all are executed from within IC (how is this self-registering example authenticated? Who is the technically executing admin?) or from applications running on the user's computer, thus having implicit access to usual SSO tokens. Are there also examples of code running on another server (e. g. an application hosted on a Tomcat, usually accessed by users of the same SSO domain as the according IC installation) in a SSO environment? How is "system" authentication for operations "on behalf of the current user" done in SSO environments, where the SSO tokens usually are not available on the server side?

This is a great article. I'd like to mention that we are also working on an SDK for quickly accessing the APIs (from Java and JavaScript), as well as a life Playground. More information available here: http://bit.ly/ibmsbtcommunity
