The common APIs allow application programs to discover information about IBM® Connections as a whole, as opposed to a specific application of the product.
Versioning
All of the Atom feeds and collections produced by the IBM Connections API contain an Atom generator tag. This generator tag can be used to determine the version of IBM Connections that produced the corresponding feed or collection.

Accessing other applications from one application
Starting from one IBM Connections applications, discover the URIs of all of the installed applications.

Following API
Use this API to keep track of IBM Connections resources that interest you, such as a person or community, a blog or a particular file.
