To follow or attend a community event (instance), send POST request to the web address specified in href attribute of the <link rel="http://www.ibm.com/xmlns/prod/sn/calendar/event/attend|follow"> element, of the event (instance) entry in the event (instances) feed.

To follow or attend a community event (instance), send POST request to the web address specified in href attribute of the <link rel="http://www.ibm.com/xmlns/prod/sn/calendar/event/attend|follow"> element, of the event (instance) entry in the event (instances) feed.

Note:

  • This request needs authentication.
  • You could select to follow or attend a single instance, or the whole event series.

Request parameters

You can use one or more of the input parameters to specify the event (or instance) that you want to operate on, and the type of your operation (follow or attend) that you want to make. Separate multiple parameters with an ampersand (&).

An Atom feed document containing the community event attendee atom entries.

POST /communities/calendar/atom/follow Value of the href attribute of the <link rel="http://www.ibm.com/xmlns/prod/sn/calendar/event/attend: follow"> element of each entry in the community event (instance) feed.

string Yes The uuid of event instance that you want to follow or attend. You must specify either at least an "eventInstUuid" parameter or an "eventUuid" parameter.
eventUuid
string Yes The uuid of event that you want to follow or attend. You must specify either at least an "eventInstUuid" parameter or an "eventUuid" parameter.
type
enumerated No Mandatory parameter, must be "attend" or "follow".
Authorized values:
  • attend
  • follow

Content Type: application/atom+xml
Code Description
200
Indicates that the community event were successfully followed (or mark as attended). If an error occurs, this header will contain one of the error codes below.
400
Bad Request.
401
Unauthorized.
403
Forbidden.
404
Not Found.
