Enter the server and authentication information for an IBM
Connections site you want to connect to.

- Right-click IBM Connections in the Windows™ Explorer navigation pane and select Connect to site.
- In the Site URL field enter the URL you use to connect to IBM Connections.
- Enter the user name and password you use to log into that IBM Connections site.
Select Remember this password if you do not want to enter it each time you connect.
- Select an authentication type if there is a reason to change it from the default.
By default, the plug-in authenticates with the IBM Connections server using basic authentication. If your administrator has implemented an alternate authentication mechanism in the environment in which the IBM Connections server is running, you might be instructed to edit the authentication setting.
Note: Use Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA) if you are configured to use SPNEGO authentication in combination with either SiteMinder or Tivoli Access Manager (TAM) authentication protocol.
