To update a file uploaded to a blog, send an updated version of the file to the existing Media Resource's edit-media URI.
The types of files, and the maximum sizes of the files that can be uploaded to a blog is defined by the Blogs administrator. See the Administering Blogs

Provide a data file. For example, you can replace an existing picture with a new picture by specifying a new JPEG file as the POST data. Also specify the content type of the file. For example, if the file has a JPEG extension, specify the content type as follows:
