Managing Linked LibrariesAdded by IBM on February 11, 2013 | Version 1 (Original)
|Add Linked Libraries to IBM® Connections communities to work with documents and folders on Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems, IBM FileNet® P8 and IBM Content Manager. For example, when you add a new document to a Linked Library you are adding the document to the ECM server.
This section describes how to configure IBM Lotus
® Connections with the following ECM systems:
- IBM FileNet P8 4.5.1 or later
- IBM DB2® Content manager 8.4.3 with FixPack 1 or later
For Linked Libraries to work you must install the following services:
The rest of the topics of this section describe configuration steps for the Connections server only. For documentation on installing and configuring the ECM systems, see the "Related reference" links at the end of this topic.

Product Documentation for FileNet P8 Platform
IBM Content Manager InfoCenter
Enable Linked Library widgets in IBM
Connections so that community owners can add Linked Libraries to their communities.
Configuring single sign-on with ECM servers
Configure single sign-on between IBM
Connections and ECM servers. With single sign-on enabled, users won't need to log in to IBM
Connections and the ECM server separately; logging in to IBM
Connections will also give them access to the ECM server.
Configuring Linked Libraries
Configure the behavior of community Linked Library widgets by checking out library-config.xml and editing it directly.
Setting allowed ECM servers
Set a list of specific Enterprise Content Management (ECM) servers that Linked Library widgets can connect with.
Optional: defining a list of supported Lotus Quickr servers for Communities
You can provide a list of the supported IBM Lotus Quickr
servers to the proxy server to ensure that it honors any requests made for access to one of the supported Lotus Quickr
servers. This is an optional task.
