| Edited by
August 28, 2013
This article explains how to install JavaMail™ on Tomcat
A version of JavaMail is included within the preconfigured Tomcat available in the Social Business Toolkit SDK redistributable available on OpenNTF
If you need to deploy your own version, follow these steps:
from one of the following locations:
- The Social Business Toolkit supports the version 1.4.4 from Oracle.
Oracle JavaMail for IBM employees
- Use this if you are an
JavaMail reference implementation
- This is the
folder the Tomcat server you need to use; copy the
file from your
download to the
folder of the Tomcat server.
If you need to configure the mail services to send email to different services, see
Setting up JavaMail on Tomcat
If you are using an
QuickStart image, the bundled Tomcat server is already configured to send mail to the appropriate services.
