OPTIONAL: Enable the Lotus® Connections person card so that your users can access Connections data such as a person's profile information.
About this task
WebSphere® Portal and Lotus Connections both have their own implementation of a person card. The Lotus Connection person card lets you view a person's profile data and connects you to associated Connections content such as a person's blog. If you would like to expose the Lotus Connections Person Card in your WebSphere Portal environment, do the following:
- Install the WebSphere Portal 126.96.36.199-WP-Multi-IFPM02565 iFix and the WebSphere Portal 6.1.5 feature pack. This requires WebSphere Portal 188.8.131.52. The iFix and feature pack can be downloaded from Fix Central.
- Set up the URL provider in Portal. Use this tech note.
- Set the specification to http://yourConnectionsServer.domain.com: [port] rather than http://yourConnectionsServer.domain.com/profiles/html/businessCard. The port number must correspond to the port number for the Profiles service.
- Ensure that the ibm-primaryEmail attribute for WebSphere Portal is mapped to the proper email attribute in your LDAP server. Refer to the topic, Mapping LDAP attributes, in the WebSphere Portal Information Center.
