Use this API to keep track of IBM Lotus Connections resources that interest you, such as a person or community, a blog or a particular file.
Following resources is enabled for these applications:
You can follow any public activity. To follow a private activity, you must be a member of the activity.Blogs
You can follow any stand-alone blog; you cannot follow community blogs.Communities
You do not have to be a member to follow public or moderated communities. You must be a member to follow private communities.Files
You can follow any public file or file folders. You can only follow private files and file folders that have been shared with you.Forums
You can follow any public forum or forum topic. You can only follow private forms if you are a member or owner of the forum.News repository
You can follow any tag.Profiles
You can follow any profile.Wikis
You can follow any public wiki or wiki page. You must be a reader, editor, or owner of a private wiki before you can follow it or one of its pages.
Retrieving the Following APIs service document
To update resources made available through the Atom APIs, you must first retrieve the service document of the API.
Getting a feed of the followed resources
You can use this Atom API request to get a feed that lists the resources that are being followed by the authenticated user. You must provide the values of the source and type as parameters to this request.
Start following a resource
To start following a resource, send an Atom entry document containing information about the resource to the followed resources feed.
Stop following a resource
To stop following a resource, use the HTTP DELETE method.
