Lotus Expeditor provides messaging capabilities through four different technologies:
Java Message Service (JMS)
MQ Telemetry Transport (MQTT)
WebSphere MQ
WebSphere MQ Everyplace (MQe)
For this document where we do messaging from the edge in an SOA environment we will employ the first two technologies with Lotus Expeditor micro broker and also WebSphere MQ for connecting with MQ-based enterprise messaging infrastructures.
MQ Everyplace is a product that provides secure messaging on lightweight devices such as sensors, phones, personal digital assistants (PDAs), and laptop and desktop computers. It will not be addressed in this document.
