The following table lists the log categories that appear in the Diagnostics Configuration window.  These settings work for all logging messages output through the File Publisher.

    Adapters
    Logs general adapter information (for example, when it starts or stops).
    Attribute Provider
    OpenSpan internal use.
    Cloned Instance Broker
    OpenSpan internal use.
    Component Inspector
    OpenSpan internal use.
    Configuration
    OpenSpan internal use.
    Connectable Index
    OpenSpan internal use.
    Default
    Logs associated with any category not otherwise specified in this list.

    Diagnostic Initialization
    OpenSpan internal use.
    EventLog

    File Management

    Logging for Java applications or embedded applets.

    Logging for the serialization of DesignComponents to and from XmlText.

    Type Resolution
    OpenSpan internal use.
    User Data
    OpenSpan internal use.
    Web Adapter
    Logging for the Web adapter.
    Windows Adapter
    Logging for the Microsoft Windows adapter.
    Windows Messages
    Logs associated with the use windows messages.  These logs are invoked when windows messages are sent or received from a target application process.  Change the log level to Verbose to see messages for this category.
Log settings

Each Log Category can be set to one of five settings.  These settings function in a hierarchy from Verbose, which logs the most information, to Error, which logs only errors.

     Setting
    Description
    Error
    This setting records only error messages related to the category.
    Warning
    This setting records both warning and error messages related to the category.
    Info
    This setting records informational messages and warning and error messages.
    Verbose
    This setting records all messages: error, warning, and informational.
    Off
    The setting turns off the recording of information pertaining to this log category.
