Lotus® Expeditor Toolkit provides two methods to migrate projects created with previous versions of the toolkit. Migration can be done from the Workspace, or projects can be individually migrated using the Import function.
The toolkit can migrate Client Services 6.0, 6.1, 6.1.1 and 6.1.2 projects that were developed using one of the supported Eclipse or Rational® platforms. Client Services Web and Portlet projects developed using a Rational 6.0 platform require a supported Rational platform to be migrated properly. Client Services ETC projects are no longer supported. Both migration methods convert projects in the same way. Rational 7.5 platforms now provide a Migration wizard that allows a user to make choices regarding what is migrated. The toolkit sets the JRE and Target Definition for all migrated projects to default values.
Migrating using Eclipse: XPD621
Lotus Expeditor Toolkit allows you to migrate your Client Services projects from earlier 6.x versions using Eclipse.

Migrating component logic: XPD621
As the client platform continues to expand and evolve, new capabilities are added to the platform that may result in other changes to the platform. It is the intent that plug-ins that were written using the public APIs and extension points will continue to function on the latest version of the client platform. Application developers may have inadvertently added dependencies on plug-ins that were intended for internal use only and may require changes in order to continue to function on the latest release.

, and UserAdmin
store their data in a different format than in previous versions. A migration tool provides a migration path for previous users of ConfigAdmin
, and UserAdmin
to migrate their data to the new platform. This migration occurs automatically at install time and will migrate all old data in the current workspace.
Running WebSphere Everyplace Deployment 6.0 Web Services applications on Lotus Expeditor: XPD621
You can run WebSphere® Everyplace® Deployment 6.0 or Lotus Expeditor 6.1 dynamic client applications in the Lotus Expeditor 6.2 runtime.
