The IBM® Support Assistant V4.0 Workbench offers you two activities to help you solve problems with your IBM products.
Find Information Activity
The Find Information activity helps you find relevant product-related information quickly. The two main tasks within Find Information are:
- Product Information -- Provides links to key product information such as fixes, education, and newsgroups/forums.
- Search -- A single comprehensive search that covers IBM's key sources and returns the results organized in a simple and very usable manner.
Analyze Problem Activity
The Analyze Problem activity enables you to investigate and solve product problems. You can collect diagnostic data (see Using the Data Collector
) for review and you can run software tools that help you troubleshoot by checking your data for errors. You can also engage in a question-and-answer session with the Guided Troubleshooter.

The Find Information Activity assists you in locating relevant information across various support and development resources.
Analyze Problem Activity: XPD621
You can investigate your product problems using the Analyze Problem activity. The Workbench provides the ability to collect problem determination data.
