Each locale has a preferred set of fonts. Display your application text using these fonts whenever possible to maintain a unified look and feel for the user. Bi-directional (bi-di) support is important for Arabic and Hebrew.
To support preferred fonts and bi-di:
- Instead of using a hard-coded font to format the text you display in the application, retrieve the font that is preferred for a specific locale by calling the org.eclipse.jface.resource.JFaceResources class. The JFaceResources class provides the following methods for retrieving preferred fonts:
