When navigating the Workbench, you can use various interface components, such as menus, toolbars and tabs to access activities and configure preferences.

The Open button is used to start or open an activity. Activity tabs
Activities that are opened display a corresponding tab just beneath the banner bar, allowing you to quickly move between activities. Activity
Each Activity contains one or more views designed to help you accomplish the goal of the activity.Banner
The banner is the top section that displays graphics and branding of the IBM® Support Assistant Workbench.Icons
Icons display throughout the Workbench. To view a description of an icon, move the mouse pointer over the icon.Menu bar
The main menu is the menu bar provided at the top of the Workbench window. It provides File, Window and Help menu options. Activities can add options to the menu bar when the activity is active.Status bar
The status bar is the area at the bottom of the Workbench window and displays action buttons and messages about current status.View
An activity consists of one or more tabbed views, each displaying a page with activity data or resources. A view can have its own menu and toolbars. It can also appear by itself, or stacked with other views in a tabbed notebook.
