On Windows® systems, the user may also configure the client to use the Windows system proxy settings that can be configured in the operating system or Internet Explorer.
To use the proxy settings configured in Windows, the user may select the "Use browser settings" option on the Network Connections preference page. This option indicates that the Windows system browser proxy configuration should be used by the platform.
The user may also set this preference in plugin_customization.ini. For more information, see Configuring platform proxy settings manually
If the platform is configured to use browser settings, a user will be prompted for credentials for any proxy server that requires authentication. Authentication information should not be stored in Accounts.
An NTLM proxy can be configured manually (as described in Configuring platform proxy settings manually
) or can be configured through the Windows system browser.
