You can create resources to customize a Client Services installation package. The Platform Editor is centered around building a configuration that can create artifacts to customize and streamline the product installation.
The editor uses a .xpdplatform
file to store data about the configuration. The editor can also open and migrate .product
files generated using the PDE Product Configuration Editor from Lotus® Expeditor 6.1 or 6.1.x.
The format of the .xpdplatform
file is internal and is not intended to be used by tools outside of the Lotus Expeditor family.
The Platform Editor provides a form-based multi-page editor to manage the platform configuration. All platforms are configured to be provisioned based on their features. Features should be created to contain any additional plug-ins desired for the platform.

The Overview page defines the product and provides hot links to export the artifacts to use with an install. .
Product Configuration: XPD622
page allows the user to customize other details about their platform. The data in the Configuration
page is used for Platform exports that are Full Platform exports.
Product Launching: XPD622
page customizes the parameters related to the launch of your product. The data in the Launching page is used for Platform exports that are Full Platform exports.
Client Services Platform Export Wizard: XPD622
The Platform Export Wizard is a multi-page wizard for performing export operations. If the export operation is invoked from within the editor, the operation occurs on the version in the editor, and does not require a save operation.
