This topic provides instructions to help you scale the DB2® Everyplace® Synchronization Server component of Lotus® Expeditor Server. You will create the initial cluster and cluster member.
These steps assume you have performed the necessary prerequisite setup.
The following instructions include instructions for AIX®, Linux®, and Windows® operating systems. You also have the option to create the initial DB2 Everyplace Synchronization Server cluster using the create-cluster-DB2e.rsp response file. For details, see Using configuration response files and Response file templates
Select Advanced Clustering Services and click Next.
Select Create Cluster and click Next.
- Start the configuration wizard, if it is not already running, in one of the following ways:
The configuration program validates that Lotus Expeditor Server is configured in a managed environment and that a remote database is configured.
The list of components that can be clustered are displayed. Select DB2 Everyplace Synchronization Server and click Next. The configuration program validates that component selected is already configured.
Note: You may select multiple components to cluster.
Follow the wizard panels to create the initial DB2 Everyplace Synchronization Server cluster.
On the final configuration panel, click Next to start the configuration process or Cancel to exit the configuration wizard.
After creation of the initial cluster, if you had already configured DB2 Everyplace Synchronization Server with a Web server, you will need to update the Web server mappings with the new cluster name. See Adding or updating a Web server configuration for how to update the applications mappings to the new cluster name.
To add another server to the cluster, see Adding an additional DB2 Everyplace Synchronization Server.
