WebSphere® Application Server defines levels of access to WebSphere administrative services. These levels are called Administrative roles. Lotus® Expeditor Server has the following WebSphere Administrative role requirements:
- The Expeditor Server administrator ID (by default, "xpdadmin") must have the Administrator role. This is required to configure the services of Lotus Expeditor Server in WebSphere. In addition, this access is required by the runtimes to enable authenticated access to secured WebSphere interfaces.
- The Expeditor Server administrator group (by default, "xpdadmins") must have the Monitor role. Administrators of the Client Management Services require the Monitor role in order to be able to log into the WebSphere Administrator console.
Within Lotus Expeditor Server, management access to Client Management Services or DB2® Everyplace® Synchronization Server is limited to members of the Expeditor Administrator group. Client Management Services allows further restrictions on management access. For more information, see Managing the client runtime. Users of Client Management Services have no role or specific group membership requirements. Users of DB2 Everyplace Synchronization Services have no role requirements but must belong to the synchronization group (by default, "xpdsyncusers").
