This topic contains information about collecting log and trace information. You can use log and trace information to troubleshoot Lotus
® Expeditor Server issues.
Expeditor Server components generate log files that capture system messages, such as errors. If you are experiencing a problem that the normal log output does not identify, you can enable tracing to capture additional information. When you enable tracing, the system generates detailed trace files. If you are having a problem with a particular component, enable tracing, recreate the problem, and then gather the logs using the IBM
® Support Assistant. Enabling tracing greatly increases the size of the log output and taxes system resources; after you have pinpointed the problem, remember to disable tracing.
IBM Support Assistant
Support Assistant provides automatic data collection for Lotus
Expeditor problem scenarios. It reduces the effort required to send the appropriate log information into IBM
support by collecting information pertinent to a problem scenario for you. For more information, see Embedded IBM Support Assistant Help XPD623
