Upon the first startup of a workspace, a Toolkit Configuration dialog prompts you to set the Test Environment for the Lotus
® Expeditor Toolkit. This allows you to configure the Test Environment for Lotus
Expeditor for Devices.
Prior to configuring the toolkit environment for device development, you must copy the Win32 version of the device client to the development system. The Win32 version of the device environment can be found on the product CD in the device\toolkit-platforms\win32 directory. The content of this directory should be copied to the development system, into a directory such as c:\xpd_device\win32.
To configure the IDE environment, follow these steps.
- Select Lotus Expeditor for Device in the test environment drop-down box.
- The Target Location will show the default location for the device Win32 development environment (for example, c:\xpd_device\win32\eclipse).
- The win32 Device VM will appear automatically in the VM Name drop-down box.
It is also recommended that you click Display the first time a workspace opens
. This causes the configuration dialog box to be presented only the first time the toolkit is used in a workspace. You can change this preference later by choosing Window
-> Client Services
The configuration dialog should look like this:
When you click OK
, the IDE reconfigures for development against Lotus
Expeditor Client for Devices. You are now ready to begin developing applications for Lotus
