Activating and configuring the network scanner

Follow these steps to activate the spam scanner:
- Click Email Server in the left menu of WebConfig..
- Click the Filters tab.
- In the Mail Spam Scanner section, click Network Scanner. The User White/Black Lists and Network Spam Scanner Behaviour fields display. Note: If the Content Scanner is checked, the User White/Black Lists is already displayed.
- Select one of the following options for Network Spam Scanner Behaviour:
- Mark - Flags email as spam and passes it through the system normally.
- Delete - Deletes email it determines to be spam immediately.
- Select one of the options for User White/Black Lists:
- Enable - Enables users to specify their own white and black lists, in addition to the global system list.
- Disable - Disables users from specifying their own white and black lists.
- Click Save Changes.
To enable and disable the IBM® Lotus Foundations™ Engate MailSentinel 3.6 anti-spam add-on, follow steps 1 through 3 above.
