Follow these steps to connect to the local network:
  1. Connect one end of an Ethernet cable into Ethernet port 0 located on the back of the IBM® Lotus Foundations™ Appliance.

  2. Connect the other end of the cable into the local area network (LAN) network switch. Do not connect Ethernet port 0 to a router providing Internet access. Ethernet port 0 is reserved for internal (local network) access.
