Table of Contents: IBM Lotus Foundations Rescue Server: FRS12

To back up data from users and teams from an IBM® Lotus Foundations™ Start server to a IBM Lotus Foundations Rescue vault using encryption, follow these steps:
  1. On a IBM Lotus Foundations Start server, click Backup in the left menu of WebConfig. The main backup page is displayed.
  2. In the Backup Jobs section, click Create a new job. The Create New Job page is displayed.
  3. In the Job Type field, select Local, Local Encrypted, or Remote.
    • Local - Creates local unencrypted backups. Remote backups are not created with this option.
    • Local Encrypted - Creates local encrypted backups. Remote backups are not created with this option.
    • Remote - Creates encrypted backups on the local IBM Lotus Foundations Start server that are copied to the remote IBM Lotus Foundations Rescue server.

  4. In the Backup compression field, select Yes to compress the backup files or No to leave the backup files uncompressed.
  5. In the Encryption password field, enter a password. The encryption password is used to encrypt and decrypt the data stored in the vault. This password only needs to be established on the IBM Lotus Foundations Start server.
  6. In the Encryption password (verification) field, enter the password again.

Sending backups over the Internet are subject to standard network and Internet speeds. Backup time and performance can vary.
