Table of Contents: IBM Lotus Foundations Rescue Server: FRS12
IBM® Lotus Foundations™ is managed through a web-based interface called WebConfig. You can access WebConfig on the server at https:// server_ip_address:8043/.
Before you can access WebConfig, the DHCP service of the server must be enabled. You can enable the service using the LCD panel on the IBM Lotus Foundations Appliance. If you are using other hardware, refer to step 5 in Installing IBM Lotus Foundations Core on other hardware: FRS12 .
To create an administrator account, perform the following steps from a Web browser on a workstation that is connected to the same network as the server:
- Read the IP address on the server console of the IBM Lotus Foundations server. For demonstration purposes, the IP address 192.168.0.1 is used.
- Open a Web browser on a workstation, and enter the following URL https://server_ip_address:8043/. For example: https://192.168.0.1:8043
- Select a default language and read and accept the Novell license on the Welcome page. Read and accept the IBM terms. The Registration Information page is displayed. Registering enables you to perform IBM Lotus Foundations Core updates and install add-on packages that are available online.

During that 30 day period, you can use all the core features of the product.
- Fill in the remaining name and address fields. Click Save Changes. The Create Administrator Account page is displayed.

- Enter a host name. Any host name can be entered at this point. The organization's real host name is required before you install IBM Lotus Foundations Start.
- Enter the Internet domain name. Any Internet domain name can be entered at this point. The organization's real Internet domain name is required before you install IBM Lotus Foundations Start.
- Click Save Changes. The IBM Lotus Foundations WebConfig console opens. Some browsers display an Administrator Account Created page. If this page displays, click Login and the main WebConfig page is displayed. Clicking Cancel Changes resets the Create Administrator Account form.
Enter an activation key at a later date
If you did not have the activation key when you did the initial installation and need to enter it later, or you received a new activation key after the initial installation, follow these steps:
