Lotusphere 2010 included several hands' on labs for Lotus Foundations Start and Branch Office. These are posted for reference. The labs require a test Lotus Foundations system or appropriate VMWare image. If you are already using Lotus Foundations, use these labs as a reference for your own demo or testing purposes.

Track 1 Abstracts
Introduction to Lotus Foundations Start and Server Configuration and Deployment
Join us for this introductory Lotus Foundations Start session. Lotus Foundations is a complete IT solution for small and medium businesses (SMB). We cover the Foundations software and hardware appliance core features and capabilities, deployment, and configuration scenarios. In the hands' on lab component you will build a complete Lotus Foundations system using VMWare. This is the first of four classes in the Lotus Foundations Essentials Track 1. Additionally, this is a prerequisite to Track 3, Lotus Foundations Branch Office.
Client Installation Overview
Attend this session and explore the client side of Lotus Foundations. You will learn the power of autonomic engineering within Lotus Foundations and install Lotus Notes with a one-click custom batch file. See how Lotus iNotes is built-in and configured for you right out of the box. Learn how Lotus Foundations supports multiple clients, making deployment easy.
Lotus Foundations Administration
This technical session provides an overview to Lotus Foundations Administration. Topics include WebConfig, automatic software and applications updating, licensing, user and team management, file servers, scalable services, and more. Participants joining the hands' on lab gain practical experience as a Lotus Foundations administrator and learn the ease of managing a software appliance. Emphasis is on core Lotus Foundations Start feature installation, configuration, and management.
Lotus Foundations Run
Running a business often requires running multiple software stacks. This session on Lotus Foundations Run shows you how it is possible to easily run multiple operating systems within the Lotus Foundations appliance, through the power of virtualization. You will see a demonstration of Lotus Foundations Run, and explore how virtualization adds strategic value for the SMB.
Track 2 – Lotus Foundations
Remote Connectivity
In this first track 2 session, you will learn the various autonomic remote access methods for Lotus Foundations. Topics include VPN / PPTP, IPSec, the Lotus Foundations firewall services, and Fast Port/Forward. This is a must for SMBs interested in remotely managing their Lotus Foundations appliance. Leveraging remote access means you can spend less time on the road, and more time building your business.
Intelligent Disk Backup (idb)
Is backup important? You bet it is. In this session we introduce the built-in, autonomic backup and recovery services of Lotus Foundations. Lotus Foundations proprietary Intelligent Disk Backup (idb) is a core Lotus Foundations feature that fully backs up your Lotus Foundations Appliance. Participants in this session learn how idb works for full and incremental backups, and how to create and restore information. The hands' on lab provides you with practical experience restoring from a failed drive. This is an invaluable session for Lotus Foundations administrators.
Lotus Foundations Reach
Lotus Foundations Reach leverages Lotus Sametime Unified Messaging capabilities to provide Lotus Foundations end users with collaborative, real-time communications capabilities. Participants attending this session learn about the Lotus Foundations Reach architecture and environment with emphasis on key features and administrative topics. The session includes a hands' on installation and configuration lab, where you will install the server-based Lotus Foundations Reach Add-on and then create users.
Track 3 – Lotus Foundations Branch Office
Introduction to Lotus Foundations Branch Office
This is an introduction to Lotus Foundations Branch Office, a complete IT solution for the existing Domino enterprise needing to provide an easy-to-deploy and manage IT solution. Focus is on Branch Office capabilities and features, differences from Lotus Foundations Start, installation and management. Successful attendees have had previous experience with Lotus Foundations Start, as well as Lotus Domino administrative experience.
Lotus Foundations Administration
In this session, we explore the Lotus Foundations administrative UI, WebConfig, and provide more in-depth experience with Lotus Foundations Branch Office. Attendees are given a Lotus Foundations Branch Office server, and a Lotus Domino Enterprise server, and gain experience with typical day-to-day server administration. This is a hands' on lab session with instructor demonstration and lively discussion. Suggestion is that you attend the first Branch Office session,
