This is an excellent video. It gives a solid overview of the power of Application Experience Designer, and lays the foundation for a lot of interesting solutions powered by this program.

I really like this video because it gives you a very good overview of what Nitro / Application Experience Designer can do. From there all you need to do is let your mind wander to all the millions of things this solution would help with. Goodbye to emailing spreadsheets and manually collating the responses :-)

Your code example under 'Add validation', the 'viewer.messageBox' call will only work in the viewer not if the form is displayed by FVP on a webform server. My way of solving this on a server is calling a button, e.g set('button.actived','on'), and let that button displays a message via a xforms:trigger.

There is a CIO governed pilot project to internally host IBM Forms 'Nitro' (also known as Application Experience Designer) for IBM use. This example is not working in IBM Forms Designer 4.0 wiht XFDL 8.

An xforms:output element cannot include an xforms:message element.

-If you change the read-only fields in Lotus Forms Designer change automatically into the Filenet

-IF you change the one Form items in Lotus Designer Can you change the document class into the Filenet?

The link " Developing and distributing applications: API 4 Java T" takes me to a page to add an article. i was expecting an article which gives details about the jars location and the name of the jars that has to be distributed.

Path for Windows 64bit dll's is

C:\Program Files\IBM\Lotus Forms\Server\4.0\API\redist\WinX64

the document could be updated to indicate that there are 32bit and 64bit variations
