Toolbar differences between Lotus Forms and FileNet

No abstract provided.

When rendering forms, toolbar hotkey accessibility differs between Lotus Forms and FileNet. Lotus Forms accessibility also varies based on the browser.

FileNet eForms use Java Script key listeners, which means toolbar hotkeys will always be Ctrl + Alt + key.

Lotus Forms forms use the HTML based accesskey attribute and thus are browser dependent. The toolbar hotkeys are based on whether the user is viewing the form in Internet Explorer or Firefox:
  • For Internet Explorer users - Pressing Alt + key will select the desired link. The user needs to press Enter to click the link.
  • For Firefox users - Pressing Shift + Alt + key will select and click the link.

Note: When using hotkeys, the focus must be on the toolbar, rather than the form fields. If the focus is on the form fields and a hotkey is pressed, no action is taken and an error may be generated.
