The PureEdgeAPI.ini file determines which applications use which version of the API. This ensures that older applications do not attempt to use newer APIs, which may not be compatible.
The PureEdgeAPI.ini file must be placed in the Windows folder. If no PureEdgeAPI.ini file exists on the target computer, you should install your own. If a PureEdgeAPI.ini file already exists, you should update the file to include an entry for your application. For more information about setting up the PureEdgeAPI.ini file for your application, refer to the IFSInitialize function API 801 DGCreate New Article if you are using C, or the initialize method API 801 DGCreate New Article if you are using Java.
