The Forms Services Platform contains materials that help developers build Forms Services Platform applications.
To develop applications using the Forms Services Platform, complete the following tasks:
1. Creating pipes
perform tasks. Each task is a small component of a larger request. To create a pipe you must create the pipe source file, a PipeActivator class, a bundle Manifest.mf file, and then bundle the pipe files into a JAR.
2. Developing pipes using Eclipse
3. Adding pipes to a pipeline
are a sequential series of pipes. You add pipes to a pipeline using a pipeline_name
.properties file, for example myPipeline.properties. This file configures the pipeline, triggers the first pipe, and lists the sequence in which the pipes will perform their tasks.
4. Running pipelines
You can run pipelines in WebSphere® Application Server, from a servlet, or as a stand-alone Java™ application.
5. Troubleshooting pipelines
If your pipelines are not working correctly, review the Forms Services Platform SystemOut.log file to help determine your problem point.
