|To use the IBM® Forms Server – Forms Services Platform you must prepare your environment by installing and deploying the Forms Services Platform, and then configuring your environment.
Installing the Forms Services Platform
Use the IBM
Forms Server installer to install the files and directory structure that are required to deploy, run, and extend the IBM
Forms Server – Forms Services Platform.
Deploying the Forms Services Platform
Before you can run the IBM
Forms Server – Forms Services Platform, you must first deploy it.
Configuring your development environment
Before you can compile custom pipes you must set your development environment's class path to include a number of files.
Deploying the File System Repository
If you are going to run a IBM
Forms Server – Forms Services Platform sample pipeline, you need to have at least one available Repository Service. The Forms Services Platform comes with a sample implementation of the Repository Service that you can deploy. The simple implementation, called the File System Repository, uses the local file-system to store files.
Specifying alternative extensions directories
You can optionally specify alternative extensions directories that tell the IBM
Forms Server – Forms Services Platform where to look for extra JAR and .properties files start up.
