When opening or filling in an IBM
® form in FileNet
®, there are several FileNet
user interface features that are either disabled or unavailable.
Setting specific opening pages
eForms allow application developers to specify a start page. For example, for a particular user, the application developer may have the first page visible to the user be the fifth page of the actual form. IBM
Forms does not have this functionality available as part of the policy configuration. You can add this functionality when creating the form using the IBM
Forms Designer. When an IBM
form is imported into FileNet
, the page functionality feature will be disabled in the workflow process.
FileNet Toolbar location
In a Form Policy wizard, the toolbar location option is disabled when using an IBM
form. The toolbar location is locked as "top"
and cannot be altered. When you hover your mouse pointer over the Toolbar Location option, a tooltip is displayed.
Opening forms as read-only
In the Layout Properties section of the Workflow Policy Wizard, FileNet
allows you to set form templates to be read-only. An IBM
form cannot be set to read-only from the policy, and this feature will be disabled when an IBM
form is to be viewed in FileNet
. When creating the form using the Designer, form designers can set form elements as read-only.
Taking forms offline
When creating a new form policy, the Offline Options section will be disabled for IBM
Forms cannot be taken offline when used in FileNet
