You can submit XForms data to a server, to a file on the user's computer, or you can send it to an email address. You can submit the entire XForms instance, or only part of the instance.
This is accomplished with a submission element in the XForms model, in conjunction with a submit button on the form. The submission defines the data to submit, and how it is to be submitted. The submit button, when clicked, initiates the submission.
The data to submit is determined by the ref attribute of the submission element. Additional attributes determine the submission protocol, the URI scheme, and other properties relevant to XForms submissions.
If you need to set attributes other than those available in the Properties view, you must use the source editor in the Designer.
Creating an XForms submission is a three step process: first, create a submission in the XForms model; next, set its properties; and finally, create a button that when clicked, submits the form.
