® Forms Designer 4.0 is designed for increased usability and faster form design.
- 64-bit support:
The Designer runs on Win7 64-bit.
Let you create reusable form components, such as address blocks or toolbars. FormParts encapsulate UI logic and data, such as instances, tables and submissions.
- Rich Text Label:
A new form item that lets you format text using HTML markup. Formatting includes:
- Bold, italic, underlined, subscript, and superscript text
- Font type, size, and color
- Structured text such as bulleted and numbered lists
- Left, right, center, and justified alignments.
Rich Text Label can also display web links within its contents.
Incorrectly spelled words are highlighted in the Properties window for easy notification and correction. The spell check dictionary is automatically set by the form's locale.
- Web services:
Improves how web services are added to a form, as well as making the addition and mapping of Web Services easier.
- Wizard creation tool:
Lets you design wizard-style forms from existing forms.
Lets you create graduated background coloring for buttons and text labels.
- Action Editor:
Makes commonly used XFDL computes and XForms binds easier to create.
- Form item conversion:
Lets you convert one form item into another, such as changing radio lists to dropdown lists.
- Table windowing:
Lets you limit the visible number of rows in a large table; allowing you to maximize form layout without losing usability for form users.
- Improved grid row display:
The grid now displays in either pixels, inches, or centimeters.
- Data tab:
The Properties window now contains a "Data" tab. This lets you mark items as public data in the Standard Designer perspective.
