Marking data to trigger workflow decisions
January 17, 2014
Form items marked as public can be mapped to tasks used in workflow system. "Public" does not mean the information a client enters is available to the general public.
Before items can be marked as public, forms must have the following:
XFDL version 8.0 – see
Upgrading form version
Instances, elements, and submission rules – see
Adding interactive features
To mark elements as public data:
Select an item from the Palette and drop it onto the form.
The Properties window opens.
If you already have items in your form, double-click an item to open the Properties window.
If there is no
checkbox located under the
field, the item cannot be marked as public.
Insert a unique identifier into the Public Data Element Name field.
Ensure the name used is unique and will easily identify the specific item.
The Properties window closes.
