This section provides information about upgrading your forms to take advantage of available features.
Recent forms are upgraded using the IBM
® Forms Designer, which contains an upgrade tool. Designer 4.0 is able to upgrade previous versions back to 2.5. If your forms were created using PureEdge version older than 6.5, use version 6.5 to upgrade to your forms. Then use theDesigner to upgrade the forms to the appropriate version.
When you upgrade forms, ensure that they are fully tested using either IBM
Forms Server – Webform Server or IBM
Forms Viewer as product changes may affect form layout. For example: an old form contains a compute which must run in a specific sequential order. Upgrading the form results in the compute no longer running as before; the compute must be manually set to fire in the required order.
