Make sure that you meet the minimum disk space requirements and that you have the latest C runtime libraries.
For a successful installation, you must have the following minimum disk space available during the installation:
- 1 GB of free space in the partition that has the temp directory (default: /tmp)
- 400 MB of free space in /usr.
- 1 GB of free space in the partition for the install location (default: /opt)
Note that the space is additive. For example, if you have /tmp
in the same partition, then you need 2 GB of free space in the partition.
If you are installing on SLES9:
Make sure that you have the libstdc++.so.6 library before installing the API. To obtain and install libstdc++.so.6, see the Novell knowledge base article at http://support.novell.com/techcenter/psdb/ea8545892a565af183b0f83eeaeb62ad.html
If you are installing on Solaris:
Make sure that you have the libstdc++.so.6 library before installing the API. To obtain and install libstdc++.so.6, download the following file: ftp://ftp.sunfreeware.com/pub/freeware/sparc/10/libgcc-3.4.6-sol10-sparc-local.gz
If you are installing on AIX:
Make sure that you have version 8 or greater of the XL C runtime installed. To check the version, at the command line type:
