What's new in Webform Server 8.0.1Added by IBM on July 25, 2013 | Version 1 (Original)
|This version of Webform Server includes several new features and improvements.
Compelling user experience
Updates to the look and feel features of XFDL 8.0.1 have been incorporated into this release of Webform Server. The changes are designed to provide a rich and modern look to the forms that are presented to users. The changes are summarized in the following paragraph.
- Updated tablet support:
- Mixed orientation printing:
If you need to print one page of a form in landscape, rather than portrait, the <printorientation> option allows you to adjust the print settings to do so.
Significant improvements to the user experience around page refreshes have been made. Table row additions and removals and data population via web services can now be managed without page refreshes.
- Browser Support:
Support for newer browser versions has been added. The recommended browser versions include:
- Internet Explorer 9
- Firefox 10
- Google Chrome
- Minimizing the details section of the signature dialog – The details section of the signature dialog is now minimized by default. Minimizing the details section streamlines the signature dialog, while details are easily available if required.
Document accessibility has been enhanced by using ARIA markup to indicate mandatory fields, invalid input in fields, and navigation landmarks.
