Trial Account and IMAP

I have created a Trial Account for "IBM SmartCloud Advanced Trial" - I am the Administrator for try99999.notes.na.collabserv.com

I want to enable IMAP for all users.
• Log in to the IBM SmartCloud® for Social Business website.
• Click Apps -> Downloads and Setup.
• Under SmartCloud Notes, click View IBM SmartCloud Notes options.
Then I get the following message

IBM SmartCloud Notes

Not authorized...

You must have a valid IBM SmartCloud Notes user account to be able to use this application.

Please contact your company, administrator to resolve this issue


Where do I go so I can test my IMAP Devices?

For standard accounts, the IMAP access requires to be enabled for the users, and this is not the default configuration.
This can be done via the SmartCloud Notes System Settings.

Self service trial accounts however only allow web mail access to the SmartCloud Notes mail files, see this document for more details :
The SCN System Settings section is not accessible for such accounts.

In order to test all the features available, you will need to contact the sales team via the "Contact Sales" link on this page : http://www.ibm.com/cloud-computing/social/us/en/

I know th IMAP must be enabled

The steps I was following was to enable IMAP. Since they give me the option to enable IMAP, I assume I have the correct client. I am just looking for authorisation.

Sorry for the misunderstanding

I'm sorry I might have not been fully clear in my first response.
-If you are using a Trial account, you do not have access to SmartCloud Notes mail files via IMAP.
Per the link I sent in my previous mail, http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/bhwiki.nsf/dx/Frequently_Asked_Questions_about_the_LotusLive_Notes_self-service_trial, you are only entitled to "SmartCloud Notes Web Mail, Calendar, and Contacts"
If you have this kind of account, and you need to test IMAP, you will have to contact the Sales team, as explained here : "Contact Sales" link on this page : http://www.ibm.com/cloud-computing/social/us/en/

-If you have another type of account, then you are entitled to open PMRs, and you should do so in order for IBM to confirm the situation and troubleshoot the issue, as we will need to get more personal details to tie your situation with a SmartCloud Notes organization.

I understood you the first time. If my Trial account is not eligible for the option, they should not display it for me.

First - it takes a week before I am told "Trial Accounts" are not eligible for Support. If a company is considering moving to SmartCloud, I would think that IBM would have more success in providing Support than if they deny support.

Disappointing that I am unable to take SmartCloud for a "test drive" without restrictions.

No support and lots of restrictions - this is a very short trial.
