Logging information is stored in the wg.log
file. It is generally best to run with only err
levels enabled as performance
can be impacted by other levels.
By default, this file is stored in the
/var file system (/var/adm/wg.log). It is generally a good ideal
to archive this file once a day or once a week, depending upon activity
and store it at least 60 days for auditing and possible problem determination.
The /var file system should be expanded accordingly or the
file should be moved into its own file system. It is bad for the
operating system if the /var file system fills up as socket communications
depend on being able to open files in this file system.
It is possible to configure maximum
size and number of managed backups before overwriting the file.
