Completing the Lotus Quickr export process: qp85

After the Lotus® Quickr™ export process completes successfully, complete this procedure to update path information and create backups of the appropriate databases needed for Lotus Quickr migration.

After the Lotus® Quickr™ export process completes successfully, complete this procedure to update path information and create backups of the appropriate databases needed for Lotus Quickr migration.

    1. Create copies of the JCR and customization database domains. These domains contain the data required for migration.

Capture backup copies of the JCR and customization domain databases needed for migration to the database used with the target system. Changes to the 8.1.1.1 system made after the backup is captured will not be reflected on the migrated Lotus Quickr 8.5 system unless the JCR migration process is repeated. This example shows the simple case of exporting the database wpsdb which, by default, contains both the JCR and customization domains.
        a. Shut down any services using this database (Lotus Quickr). You do not have to shut down the database server.
        b. Back up the WebSphere® Portal JCR database (default name is wpsdb) by entering the following command:

db2 backup db wpsdb to <backup_dir>

If you are using Oracle or the domains are in separate databases, follow database product directions.
    2. If you are performing a migration to a different system, copy the backup of Lotus Quickr and database to the target machine. The Lotus Quickr backup directory was defined as -DbackupDirectory in the WPmigrate.bat portal-pre-upgrade command of step 4 in Running the Lotus Quickr export process.
