Policy rules contain the business logic, expressed as conditional statements, that drives your business processes and determines how portal resources function for a class of users.
A policy rule is a set of conditional statements that enables a resource to be evaluated so that specific actions can be applied to the resource. In this example we use a size limitation for the place.
If you want to apply different policy for all Team Places within the Library Template, you create a rule that selects composite applications based on the library template.
The default policy for Quickr 8.1.x.x is CompositeApplication. Use the Resource Policies portlet to work with policy types for portal resources. For some procedures, you will use Resource Permissions and Personalization.
Its important to know when you work with policy rules and conditions, you use the Personalization Navigator and the Personalization Editor for business rules.
When you need to create a policy rule, you automatically move from Resource Policies to the Personalization Editor.
When you need to select a policy rule, you automatically move from Resource Policies to the Personalization Navigator.
