Many users have business requirements that require the logout to perform different functions.
This document will provide the steps necessary to change the logout process in Quickr 8.5 to close the browser after selecting logout.
There are two locations that need to be updated. The Quickr theme and also the place center application.
1- Access the WebSphere Administration Console. Navigate to Resource Environment Providers – WP_ConfigService – custom.
Add or edit the following parameters.
Redirect.logout = true
redirect.logout.ssl = true
This enables the logout redirect and points the redirect to a specific URL.
If you want to just close the browser when hitting the logout button, you can used the following code in logout.html
Below is the content of the logout.html file
Create this file in the following location. Quickr_root/wp_profile/installedApps/(cellname)/wps.ear/wps.war.
2 – Next we will need to modify the place center application so the logout is changed in the place center (landing page for Quickr).
The places catalog jsps all have the following definition:
Need to change the definition to point to the logout.html .
Change the value to http://servername/lotus/logout.html
This needs to be done each of the following jsps.
Restart the environment.
If this is a clustered environment, then this needs to be done on the Deployment Manager profile as well so the files are not overwritten during synchronization.
