No abstract provided.
After you have upgraded the IBM® Lotus® QuickrTM server, you need to perform the following tasks to complete the upgrade process. Restart the Lotus Domino® server after all of the tasks are completed.
1.        Unlocking places
Before you upgrade places and placetypes, use the qptool unlock command to unlock the places on the IBM Lotus Quickr server.
2.        Upgrading the design of databases on the server
Before you upgrade places and placetypes, use the qptool upgrade command to upgrade the design of all databases on the IBM Lotus Quickr server.
3.        Updating places
Before you upgrade places and placetypes, use the qptool register command to update all place information in the place and place catalog on the IBM Lotus Quickr server.
4.        Upgrading places and placetypes
After you upgrade the design of databases on the IBM Lotus Quickr server, use the qptool upgrade command to upgrade places and placetypes to enable the new features in them. You can upgrade them all at once or incrementally.
5.        Unregistering and reregistering places with the place catalog
After you have upgraded places and placetypes, you must use the qptool unregister command to unregister all places, and then use the qptool register command to reregister the places with the place catalog. These steps add place fields to the place catalog that are in IBM Lotus Quickr 8.2. You can unregister and reregister all places at once or do it incrementally.
6.        Converting databases to ODS level 51
To take advantage of ODS level 51, administrators need to use the compact -c command so that existing places are upgraded to ODS 51.
7.        Enabling Domino Attachment and Object Service (Optional)
Enable Domino Attachment and Object Service (DAOS) to consolidate attachments in databases in a separate repository on the server so that they can be retrievable by reference.
8.        Installing connectors on client workstations
Users can download the appropriate connectors from the Lotus Quickr 8.2 server.
9.        Locking places
After you have upgraded places and placetypes, use the qptool lock command to lock the places on the Lotus Quickr server that were previously locked on the Lotus QuickPlace server.
10.      Evaluate login form
After the upgrade to the new server, analyze the old method of quickplace authentication. If you are using domcfg.nsf for form authentication, the path has changed for the login form from Quickplace/resources.nsf to LotusQuickr/resources.nsf and the target form is QuickPlaceLoginForm.
