Do you want to learn how to customize IBM® Lotus® Quickr™
to fit the needs of your production environment? Then this wiki is for
you. It provides tips and instructions on how to tailor your content to
build a customized collaboration experience and describes the services
available to work with your content.
To get the most from this information, you should already
have a general understanding of Quickr. A good place to start is by looking
at the Quickr Information Center at http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/lqkrhelp/v8r0/index.jsp.
The general approach for extending Lotus Quickr is to build
extension into the user experience. This will allow Quickr users to take
matters into their own hands and tailor the user experience to meet their
needs, without having to involve technical experts. Sometimes it does become
necessary to enlist the help of users with more technical skills and for
those users we want to make it possible to customize Quickr without having
to become a programmer, and instead use simple scripting. And sometimes
it is still necessary to involve software developers and for those developers,
Quickr provides a set of programming interfaces.
