The REST services are based on the Atom Syndication Format
and on the Atom Publishing Protocol (APP)
. The design goals for
this implementation include:
- complying with the Atom Syndication Format as defined
in RFC 4287.
- adhering to the emerging standard on Atom Publishing Protocol
as defined in the draft 12 of the specification.
- being consistent with other IBM applications wherever
- closely aligning Atom constructs with the Lotus Quickr
Lotus Quickr documents are accessible as Atom feeds, which
are produced for libraries, folders, views, published documents, and draft
For the purpose of updating documents, Lotus Quickr has
defined a set of collections and resources based on the model described
in the Atom Publish Protocol (APP) specification. Each collection contains
one or more resources. APP allows GET, PUT, POST, and DELETE operations
on the collections and resources.
For more details on the
APP, refer to the published draft 12 specification.
