You are ready to upgrade to IBM® Lotus® Quickr™ servers for your operating system on Microsoft® Windows®, IBM i®, or IBM AIX® after completing the preparatory steps.

To upgrade from IBM Lotus QuickPlace® to Lotus Quickr, follow the instructions appropriate to your operating system:

  • Upgrading a Lotus QuickPlace server on Windows and AIX
Upgrading from IBM Lotus® QuickPlace™ 6.5.1 or 7.0 to Lotus Quickr 8.2 requires a side-by-side upgrade from the existing QuickPlace server to a new target server running Lotus Domino® 8.5 and Lotus Quickr 8.2. The target server must be on a separate system from the existing QuickPlace server. The Lotus QuickPlace data files and system settings are first migrated to the target server, then upgraded to Lotus Quickr 8.2.
  • Side by side upgrading a Lotus QuickPlace server on IBM i
Upgrading from IBM Lotus QuickPlace 6.5.1 or 7.0 to Lotus Quickr 8.2 requires a side-by-side upgrade from the existing QuickPlace server to a new target server running Lotus Domino 8.5 and Lotus Quickr 8.2. For IBM i® systems, these servers can be on the same or separate systems. The Lotus QuickPlace data files and system settings are first migrated to the target server, then upgraded to Lotus Quickr 8.2.
