A place manager can customize a place by adding components. Custom components can be made available to a place by an administrator.
Designing a place: qp85
Change the style or layout of your place, create custom themes or skins, or use templates to affect the look and feel of the place.
Editing place properties: qp85
Set the properties of your place, including the name, description, friendly URL, theme, and place owner. Enable place notification and change who has access to your place.

Libraries are collection containers for document files and other media files, such as video or audio files.

Change a property in the WebSphere Application Server administration console to enable places to open in a new window when users click them in the Public Places

A place manager must add or remove a member, unless the place was created allowing users to click Join
